Coen worked on different innovation projects in the logistics industry before he decided that it was time to make a change in the current warehouse market. Triggered by the sharing economy with it’s on-demand principles, he and his partners questioned themselves why these principles weren’t seen in warehousing yet as they could be a sustainable and efficient solution for temporary overflow and idle space in existing warehouses. Stockspots is now the biggest and most flexible on-demand warehouse platform which matches the demand for warehouse space and fulfilment services with idle warehouse capacity all over Europe. Today Stockspots counts over 600 warehouse providers in the Netherlands, Belgium and the rest of Europe. They aspire to make warehousing more sustainable by increasing the utilisation of capacity and reducing the transport of goods. How they make this happen? By offering shippers warehousing solutions that really suits them instead of the other way around: Available warehouse space and fulfilment services at any desired location for any duration.
